Orders & Payment

• All custom mobility aids are handmade to order and crafted with high attention to detail.
• Full payment is required at the time of order unless otherwise agreed upon.
• We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion (e.g., due to suspected fraud or supply limitations).

Custom Work

• Once production begins, changes to design, customization, or sizing cannot be made.
• Product photos are representative. Because every piece is handcrafted, slight variations are expected and part of the charm.

Shipping & Delivery

• Shipping timelines are provided as estimates based on current production volume.
• We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers.
• Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.

Our website is hosted on a secure platform (Squarespace) and uses trusted third-party tools for payment and calendar scheduling (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Acuity). Your information is protected through encrypted channels and is not stored locally by us.

We never have direct access to your full credit card or banking details.

  • If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, please notify us within 3 days of delivery with clear photos so we can address the issue promptly.

  • Refunds or store credit may be granted on a case-by-case basis for eligible issues such as damage caused in transit.

  • All customizations, embellishments, and size adjustments are considered final sale and cannot be changed once production has begun.

Shipping Policy.

At Stepping Stones of the Carolinas, every order is handcrafted with care, so we want to ensure your pieces arrive safely and promptly.

Domestic Shipping (U.S. Orders):
We primarily ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on the item size and destination. Most domestic packages include tracking and insurance.

  • Standard Shipping: Typically takes 3–7 business days after the production window.

  • Expedited Shipping: Available upon request. Contact us prior to ordering if you need a rush delivery.

International Shipping:
We do offer international shipping to select countries. Please note that delivery times vary and additional customs fees may apply, which are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping Charges:
Shipping costs are calculated based on the size and weight of the mobility device, packaging, and destination. You’ll receive a quote prior to the start of production.

Combined Shipping:
For multiple items purchased in one order, we’ll do our best to package them together and adjust shipping fees accordingly.

Lost or Damaged Packages:
If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll work with the carrier to file a claim and help resolve the issue.

Shipping Address:
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for delays or losses due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

Ready to Ship.

Terms & Conditions

Our Ready to Ship items are pre-designed, pre-crafted, and packaged with care — no customization required. These limited-edition pieces are available in small quantities and are usually shipped out within 2–4 business days of your order being placed.

While they still reflect the same Stepping Stones quality and signature style, Ready to Ship items are sold as-is and cannot be altered or personalized. If you’d like a specific design, quote, or color scheme, we invite you to explore our Custom Order options instead.

Please note: Shipping timelines may vary slightly during holidays or peak seasons, but we’ll always do our best to get your items to you promptly!

Production Time.

Terms & Conditions

Every custom item from Stepping Stones of the Carolinas is handcrafted with care, creativity, and intention — and that takes time.

Standard production time for custom orders is 2–4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design, materials requested, and current order volume.

If you need your item by a specific date (e.g., for a special event, photo shoot, or recovery milestone), please reach out before placing your order to confirm if a rush option is available. Additional fees may apply for expedited requests.
